Every time I need to use my hi-lift it needs a bit of uhmm... attention.
LOL. I remember that wonderful trip Tom. My hi-lift (freshly rebuilt the week before) lifted like a champ, but refused to lower. Tom came to the rescue with his hi-lift that did the exact same thing. Ever since then, we have both swore off the use of hi-lifts.
I now learned how to lower the hi-lift with a really large screwdriver if/when it gets jammed without fearing of killing myself or anyone else.
I'm glad folks are still interested in this. I'd rather not learn the basics of recovery "on the fly" so to speak...

i would also like to do some mock recovery. it is a great topic. ( i will not be the x that gets set on fire for the "how to use a fire extinguisher class" nope not doing it!) I have not used a hi-lift , tree saver, or winch.
