OK...after seeing a member of UNYX with one of these: Powertank gauge at ECXC this year I have been jonsing for one ever since. It seems like a meaningless simple item but it saves an awful lot of time and frustration when inflating or deflating your tires as you can just let go of the trigger and instantly see the tire pressure rather than constantly shifting between the inflation chuck or whatever you are using to deflate the tire and the pressure gauge...cuts the time of each task at least in half if not more....Anywho...so I wanted one...but $50+ seemed like a lot to spend for something that I currently did with a free tire gauge I have had since like high school and whatever little pointy rock I could find in whatever place I stopped to air down.....That was untill I went into my local Advanced Auto Parts the other day and found this little gem
It may not be of quite the quality of the powertank version--plastics are cheaper, guage isn't quite as nice, etc., but it does all the same functions of the powertank version--pressure guage, trigger activated deflation or inflation, and attaches nicely to your CO2 tank hose for those of you who have one....and it is less than 1/2 the cost of the powertank version at $19, so the way I figure it, if I break it or lose it or if someone borrows it its no big deal. Please inquire if you have any questions about it or want me to look for one at the same store I picked this one up at.
