I'm sure it was because I was being 'me' and people get the wrong idea. You guys are allittle more mature than that. It's about the X, wheelin', etc.

Keep up the great work, RIXterra......and give Steph a hug for me......OH YAH....... she said you could tell me some trails in/around RI. I'd like to find more in the area.....going to PAP or RC all the time has me CRAZED.

yeah... I'd have to agree. I found this group less than a year ago and, in that time, I've gone from a mostly stock X to one that is way more fun.

I had a '97 TJ. It was fun, but the ex got that in the divorce and I was glad to see it go. I spent more time fixing crap on that thing. After the she left and my ex sucked the life out of my wallet, she still wanted me to fix it for her. Yep, my hourly rate is $90/hour.

I had an ex that kept trying to get me over to her place to do handy-man type stuff... and this is when she was already dating someone new.

I told her to get her boyfriend to man up, strap one on and do the work himself.

SEE?!?!?! That's why I hang out with guys. Much easier, nicer, more fun.
I couldn't even begin to try to be friends with people capable of that nonsense.

As for 'strapping one one', Svendog......maybe your ex should, and then learn how to do a few things for herself. I did. I was in 2 long relationships (3 months single in the middle) from the ages of 16-30. So when I found myself single @ 30, not knowing how to change a tire, fix a leak, start the lawnmower (yes, I was spoiled too), all those things I counted on the GUY doing........I thought, "Hell NO". So I spend hours at Barnes and Noble buying "How to" books on autos, plumbing, home repair, etc. Bought tools, gadgets, things I need for around the house......and I learned it.

Women like your ex's make me sick. ONE, they're so dependent and that's sad, and TWO, they are vendictive, manipulating and out-right rude asking you for help, stringing along, etc. Scary that you once CHOSE them, huh???

I'm glad you're both happy now!!!
