I just got the book

It was from a friend (being a wise-ass) cuz he
heard I got mouthy a couple times at MaBell.

(those of you effected all received your PM apologies
for that one, and I thank you for your replies...)

ANyway...the book...absolutely awesome!!!!

The thing is....most of the chapters cover:

The Belittling Tongue (which I never do)
The Judgemental Tongue (again, not me)
The Silent Tongue (which we KNOW I'm not)
And most of all NOT LIKE ME...
The Betraying Tongue (It's something that has never and will never be "me" though the world is full of it)

So, I thought, "What the heck part of this book IS going to help me?"

Then I found:

The Flattering Tongue (I can sometimes lean on the side of "over-flattering", NOT in a malicious way though, to make someone feel better about themselves...which in turn makes me feel better about myself. How's that for honesty? I'll have to get a shrink, it's a bad trait)
The Hasty Tongue (I am quick to say something, not allowing my brain to process it first)
The Boasting Tongue (cuz we all know Pete is the prettiest Xterra)
The Know-It-All Tongue (which Barry has) (and sometimes me too)
The Cursing Tongue (even though I think girls who swear are trashy, I love the F-word)


Anyway....so, in 30 days....there may be an improvement. I will stop telling people what they want to hear (or what I think they want to hear) when it's really not true. I will think before I speak. I will not talk about how awesome Pete is (as much). I will ask more questions instead of "knowing it all" and I will try to behave my cursing and smut talk.

I visit the forum every day. I've been busy though and have a new passion:

I have a plane in my basement that I was only able to get into the air once.

I keep thinking that I'll get back in to it, but I spend so much on the xterra that it'd be hard to justify the expense.
