There is enough anti-offroad sentiment out there, and we've already lost a couple of trails very recently. I don't want to be giving anyone a reason to close off another potentially viable trail as well.
There are plenty of legal trails that have illegal offshoots (trails - also called trailbraiding) which appear to be legal trails because enough people have gone used them. A group of us just saw a whole bunch of them this past weekend.
