in CT if anyone is interested...its the initial event in the NORRA series...to be held at Mototown USA in Windsor, CT...full on racing with jumps and such...and INDOORS too...Mototown USA is the largest indoor motocross facility in the world and having truck races is something new for this year...I am going and will be attempting to cover the event for Offroad.com (we'll see what news/pics/video we can get)...I'm not sure what time the event starts (the NORRA site and Mototown USA site leave a bit of info to be desired) but will post the events times here later today in case anyone has Saturday free and wanted to see some door to door offroad racing on a local level.

Hey Dan, what differences did you have to make to your setup to start racing?
I raced cars, but your racing is precision too, right? or is it round track?

Anyway...I'd run up and check it out....but I'm in PA now, and will be at Rausch
(there's a shocker) this weekend. But I would appreciate a schedule of some sort
so that we can plan to make a weekend of it (visit family, etc) and see you race.

Oh....no, no, no....I'M not racing...I'm just going there to cover the race for OR.com...I'd have to gut the X, take out all the windows, add a cage, a fuel cell, etc. to make it "raceable" and I'm not ready to do that...yet...

I am going to try and take the boy. Depends on how the knee feels.

For anyone interested, the races start at 12:30 with ongoing practices before that...admission is $15...

how long does it last? like 3 hours max? just wondering becasue i was going to go to long island and need to be there at a certain time to check into the camp site.. BTW anyone else wants to come to the LINXC bech run with me??

Not sure...different classes will race at different times...so you could come and go and still get to watch some full races..

Looks like they have open pits at these races so you can go and check out the vehicles...might be raining but the pits are located behind the building and all work and fueling has to be done out there so you can get a real good look if you want...

OK...I will be there tomorrow about 11:30-12:00 or so...not bringing the X so just be on the lookout for the tall guy with the bald head and black Baldwin Racing tshirt...

Talked with the head of the series today...track sounds good, turns, speed bumps and jumps he said...supposedly like 40-45 competitors (believe it when I see it but I hope he gets that many) Come one come all...sounds like a good time, just south of Springfield, MA!!

I will be in Enfield, CT tomorrow at Banditt Offroad getting some work finished up on my truck. If I get done early enough I'll swing by.

Awesome meeting you guys today....and for those of you who missed out...definately plan on attending one of these races in the future...today's action was great and its only going to get better--longer track, more trucks/buggies...Hell, there was even a Nissan out there holding his own today!
