Here are some parks on the east coast and kinda midwest that are within driving distance. We're planning on hitting a couple this summer and saving up for a long vacation to hit most of them at once maybe in 2 summers. Like some insane tour of Offroad Parks. But the gas prices have to go down!!!
Caspirus Stone Quarry 4x4 Trail Connlesville, PA http://www.4x4now.com/trpasq.htm More Info: http://www.fay-west.com/fayette/casparis A lot of parts (caves, etc) of this are closed, but people still go on the trails. This is near Pittsburgh and said to not be enough to make a trip out of unless you have other trails or events to go to in the area.
NEW JERSEY:
Pine Barrens 4x4 Trails Pine Barrens, NJ http://www.4x4now.com/trnjpb.htm We have a run here in May with a few of the NJAX guys and Christian Crawlers if anyone wants to go. We're going to camp, as all of our monthly runs are the whole weekend long. Let me know, I can forward the information.
***you have to register to go to the park, it's not an "open" park like most...Chris wants to run their end of summer event, so we'll be down there for that hopefully! It's a short trip for us where we're living now, so that helps!
***Kyle and Steph Knosp (ParagonAP) took over Badlands as of the beginning of this month. We have a few friends out that way that run the Badlands often so we hope to see what the park has to offer and support Kyle and Stephanie. We're going this summer!!!
