At another club's site, we did this and several people with different tires answered and its nice
to see what brand does what, etc. I know we all have seen most brands, but this breaks it down
for us BY the people that use them that we know, not by a magazine's advertisement. Post up!!!

Tire: Cooper Discoverer STT
Size: 33x12.50x16
Vehicle: 2005 Nissan Xterra
Suspension Lift: 3"
Body Lift: 0"

Current tire mileage: about 19,000
Appearance: Attention grabbing, Very aggressive looking with insanely cool sidewall tread.
Tread life: Deep still after almost 20,000, and as said by people who've had them before, takes a LONG time to wear.
Road noise: Loud hummmmm....and I LOVE it.

Street Performance: Fantastic handling. Run at 32-34 psi. Comfortable.
Offroad Performance: Awesome in everything I have taken it on.
Rock: Aired down to 13 psi. GREAT grip, especially uphill loose rocks. Good on both large and small rocks alike.
Rain: Good. No spinning as I have had with other tires. No sliding. Typical side-pull in side of road puddles.
Mud: Digs in well and treads clean out quickly.
Snow: Fantastic as far as I have seen, but we've had two VERY mild winters. No sliding.
Sand: Unfortunately haven't been in any...YET!

Would you buy this tire again?: I will ONLY buy this tire.

Who would you recommend this tire to?: Anyone. But definitely someone who likes mud AND rock.

Tire: BF Goodrich Mud Terrain
Size: 33x12.50x15
Vehicle: 2002 Nissan Xterra
Suspension Lift: 3"
Body Lift: 2"

Current tire mileage: about 49,000
Appearance: Very nice looking tires with a semi aggressive thread pattern.

Tread life: They get good life out of them for a mud terrain type tire. I'm on my second set (switched from 32's to 33's) and at the time I took the 32's off they still had plenty of meat left on them.

Road noise: They are very very quiet for a MT.

Street Performance: I find them to handle very well for the type of tire. I run mine at 35 psi and they give a comfy ride even for a stiffer side wall tire.

Offroad Performance: They'll pretty much take anything I throw at them.

Rock: They do very well on all sorts of rocks. They also have a thicker sidewall to help prevent sidewall damage.

Rain: Is excellent considering they have less surface on the road. They'll pull a bit when hitting big puddles or standing water but it's not bad.

Mud: Digs in well and treads clean out quickly.

Snow: They'll do well in fresh unpacked snow, but they don't do as well in packed snow. That's due to the less surface sitting on the road.

Sand: They also tend to do really well. But like any other MT type tire, if your too much on the skinny pedal they'll dig you in deep.

Would you buy this tire again?: Yes I switched from 32's to 33's without a second thought. wink.gif

Who would you recommend this tire to?: Of course I would. But only if they intend on using them in a similar method as I do. I you have no plans on using them, then these tires aren't gonna work well for you.

Tire: trxus MT
Size: 31x02.50x15
Vehicle: 2002 Nissan Xterra
Suspension Lift: PML

Current tire mileage: about 6000

Appearance: Very nice looking tires with nasty sidwall fairly aggresive tread.

Tread life: they are wearing good for a SS.

Road noise: They are not to loud for a MT.

Street Performance: I find them to handle very well for a SS tire. Can be hard to balance.

Offroad Performance: They'll pretty much take anything I throw at them.

Rock: They do very well on all sorts of rocks. They also have a thicker sidewall to help prevent sidewall damage.

Rain: Is excellent considering they have a good amount of sipping and good space for water to move out through.

Mud: Digs in well and treads clean out quickly.

Snow: They'll do well in fresh unpacked and packed snow and ice

Sand: havent been in any yet.

Would you buy this tire again?: may get a less aggresieve tire due to how many raod miles I do.

Who would you recommend this tire to?: Yes if you want a good mud tire with a great sidewall.
