I have low-profile bumpstops and have yet to blow a CV on the trail. I'm sure that day will come, but at $100/axle, my time is worth more than that for a 5/8" gain. Just my 2c.

so dagger are you saying you did or didnt install this drop, and running lower bumpstops would be fine without this kit ?

Daggerdoggie- 04-21-2008
I have not installed the drop.

I'm sure your driving style has A LOT to do with your lack of carnage. biggrin.gif
If someone puts their foot through the floor every chance they get offroad, they are bound to pop a CV sooner or later with or without the diff drop.

If you drive it with as much skinny pedal as needed and know when to let off, I'm sure a lot of other parts will last long as well.
Hell, you even have an ARB locker up front. biggrin.gif

I'm looking for a little extra insurance, since I have to drop the diff to do a locker or LSD up front anyway and will be playing with the front wheel travel a bit. smile.gif

For mildy modified trucks it's probably not worth your time.
But, you never know..

well thats kinda what i was thinking.
i dont meatfoot it on the trails, as it tends to rut things out for the next guy.
sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

i knew purchasing it today wouldnt exactly say let's install in the am.
i just was gonna throw it under the bench next to the body lift,
in hopes of one bright shiny moment...
till then i will aquire the other tall order items.

support fresh parts,
and thanks for you support.

Sounds good.
That's what I plan on doing.
I have a lot of parts just laying around waiting for the install. biggrin.gif
