IT'S OFFICIAL!!

Bruce at Suspension.com called me back with great news.
Energy Suspension is releasing the set to the public and he is ordering them starting next week.
He will have them IN STOCK, Same day shipped in 3 weeks once he gets them from E.S.

Here is the biggest kicker..
The price will be <buckle up>

E.S. part number 7.1111G
$42 per set, bushings & sleeves
plus shipping.

He asked me how many sets he should order.
I told him 15-20 sets at THAT price shouldn't be a problem. biggrin.gif

You can start calling and placing your orders on MONDAY 4/21/08.

ETA:
This is meant for the first Gen X's and Frontiers (possibly WD21 chassis as well, pathy, hardbody)
They are offset bushings that replace the stock ones and lower the front diff 5/8" to allow for more droop with the SLR stage 1-4 control arms.
Or you can run lower profile bumpstops without fear of breaking a CV axle from binding.
Pretty much gaining useable wheel travel for $42
SLR sold these for $150, and it was exclusive to SLR.
No one else was allowed to sell them, even though it was an Energy Suspension part number.

Wait? sleeves too?

Only for $42 not, $150. biggrin.gif
Call to place an order on monday.
The distributor will have them within 3 weeks. smile.gif

According to an inside source, I found out recently that SLR had a 50% profit on majority of the parts he sold. mad.gif
With profits like that, how do you go out of business?! blink.gif

it's not long that the fan base starts to see that they are getting porked, and they start to move on.
some people are in it for passion,
others linger around it in greed.
then there are the rest of us that cant help overcome the addiction.

i think for the price, and to show support for new products, i will be calling and ordering monday or tuesday.
thanks for the heads up.

Honestly ( and I don't want to start a whole huge thread jack on this) you really have no reason to be installing a diff drop unless you have his control arms, and even with them it is questionable if it is really needed at all. They are a whore to install... Its your truck and by all means do whatever makes it yours and better for you, I just want to make sure you know what you are getting into.

so this wouldnt be needed if i were to purchase a setup of AC's control arms ?
that is one of my next plans.

I agree 100%. I've read that they can be a nightmare to install.

These were meant specifically for the tubular SLR stage control arms that provided additional droop and wheel travel.
The Econo A-arms and calmini arms do not require this unless you plan on messing with your bumpstops.
If you go with low profile bumpstops, this should help with the cv angles at droop.

I'm installing these since I'll be screwing with my bumpstops when the coilover conversion goes in. I want to get as much travel as possible using the stock track with.

The Limit on our CV Axles is 29 degrees before they bind.
If you want more travel you'll have to go with the Total Chaos system with longer axles.

i have already ordered low profile bumpstops for the front because i was questioning getting more travel in the front...
but if it's going to be a royal PITA as you guys are talking i might just skip it, and quit while i'm ahead.

After installing 1 of these kits I decided that I would hang on to my diff drop kit until I blew up a CV from not having it in... I have yet to do so, granted I have not really beat it up since installing the arms.

with out a shop press the install is a chore to say the least, we spend a full 8 hours on it. I am not looking forward to installing another set.
